I have a Chimei CMV 221D widescreen monitor, I've had problems getting the driver to correctly get the native resolution for it. It will go black after the windows logo and say no signal. I disabled DDC/CI in the on screen control panel for the monitor. It now seems to work correctly with a single link DVI cable. The first time I installed the ATI driver everything worked fine. After a few system restarts (specifically one where I changed out an IDE DVD drive for a SATA one) the monitor would lose the input signal after Windows loads it's driver. I have now discovered that this only happens with the DVI cable. The same monitor keeps working if I use a D-sub cable. Any ideas why? This problem didn't happen when I switched the video card to the PCIe x4 slot, so I thought the mobo was the problem, but a new one leaves me with the same problem. Thanks for any ideas.
